Congrats, Savithri Singh! It is not at all easy to get a conventional college transformed into one with such outstanding performance in a revolutionary area like OER. We are looking forward to associate with ANDC on the Collaborative Undergraduate Biology Research (CUB Research) that is envisaged to "functionally network" 20,000 colleges in India. We expect to have 500 hubs like the ANDC across the country to facilitate rest of the colleges in collaborative undergraduate research (and Citizen Science) in the sprawling hinterlands of this vast country with a young population.

Thank you for your comments both!
it was exactly our starting point that Openess in education has strong implictions on the eductaional scenario in general. So there are string connections. but if you look at the tools and at the concepts we describe you find a lot of what is very specific to OER and OEP.

Digital Literacy Skills is an important issue to me, because tha way you concieve the utilization of any digital resource, is the way you can really use it as an innovative educational tool. In tihs sense, the contact with students is more relevant. The other day a coleague told me "¿why don't you try to promote student's participation by attachig the facebook link in the plataform?. I've discovered my conception of computer as a high - tec chalkboard. In México, still a great number of teachers think in CTI's only in terms of image for their educational institutions and they are good software consommers. Only a few are now thinking in design their own Educational Resources and share them in a knowledge community. To develop Digital Literacy Skills demands also Digital Utilization and Sharing Principles in my country.

We are currently preparing our submission and have a query regarding the "evidence of the good standing of the organisation, institution or learning context" . What is required as evidence?

Thanks,
Ann Marcus-Quinn

Friends-- I'm an educational consultant, ran across a reference to you, and came to your site wanting to understand "open educational practices." Someone with an intricate organizational sense undoubtedly created this site, which I respect greatly. I'm dismayed, however, at having failed at understanding what distinguishes OEP from all other ways of referring to improving education. One problem with the site is that the terminology and grammar are extremely abstract--lacking any concrete words, examples, or mental snapshots to tell me exactly what you do. A way to parse your writing is to ask "Which reader will do what upon reading this word?" If readers will be puzzled and have to find different words to interpret the first word, then the writing lacks specificity. Is there a main thing you want every visitor to your site TO DO? Think in terms of saying ONLY what gets them a step toward that activity. And perhaps I've completely missed your intent. Anyway, good luck and best regards, John Jensen, Ph.D.
